JWEEX - I'm Not Going Down
It lurks. Just under the surface, it slithers and bellows its terrible groan. You stop and strain your neck sideways, listening carefully. You think you hear something, but you cannot be sure. You shrug it off and continue forward. Its empty eye sockets see you through the haze, sizing you up. It purrs in satisfaction, knowing its prey is all but taken, that the game is almost over. The tiny hairs on the back of your neck stand up and you just cannot shake this idea that someone is watching you. You look behind, but all you see is the distant islands on the horizon off the turbulent sea. A storm is moving in. You can see the dark clouds approaching and think that is what is causing your unease. Relax you tell yourself as you take a deep, soothing breath. Meanwhile it continues to approach. Slowly yet
with an air of confidence. It’s been killing since the dawn of time. What can only be called drool oozes from its cavernous mouth, it’s rows of razor sharp fangs glisten. A feeling of sexual ecstasy radiates through its pea sized brain as it fantasizes about its meal. Meanwhile you continue to stare at the sea as the clouds become thicker and the wind picks up. The sense of dread heightens to a near panic as you realize there is something, Something evil. You must flee. A high-pitched sound echoes through the
wind like nothing you have ever heard before. Your mind is filled with confusion and panic and as you turn around, you see something through the haze, approaching, crawling rapidly across the sand. You open your mouth to scream and the last thing you see before your final breath is the impossible face of your dead daughter who perished at 6 years old. Her childlike face melts as it rears open it’s horrible mouth, shows its fangs and eats.
